According to allcitycodes, Uganda has a tropical climate with two distinct wet and dry seasons. The wet season runs from March to May and October to December, while the dry season is between June and September. During the wet season, temperatures range from 20°C (68°F) to 27°C (81°F). During the dry season, temperatures are slightly cooler ranging from 17°C (63°F) to 25°C (77°F). Rainfall is highest in the mountains in western Uganda, with some areas receiving up to 3,000mm (118 inches) of rain annually. In contrast, rainfall is much lower in the east of Uganda. In some parts of eastern Uganda, annual rainfall can be as low as 500mm (20 inches). Uganda also experiences regular thunderstorms during both wet and dry seasons. These thunderstorms are usually accompanied by strong winds and heavy rains that can cause flooding in some areas. The country also experiences occasional hailstorms and strong dust storms during both seasons.
